MGRIGIO its not all about just the footwear we make. I love the designs that I create, but we all have to gain inspiration from some place. Like any good brand I spend lots of time studying what other successful brands are doing. I often look outside of footwear to find inspiration. So in this blog I’ll be posting up various sources of inspiration for me. Enjoy!

Michael Mack 24 year old CEO of MGRIGIO footwear is an industrial designer turned footwear designer. Starting start his own footwear line had been a life long dream, but he was sure to keep a few things in mind. He wanted to provide a premium designed product at a reasonable price for the market. He knew fellow footwear lovers were being taken advantage of by big brand names and heavy prices. working for two years at simple footwear factory allowed him to gain in inside perspective of the footwear industry. wanting to share his love for footwear and design with the world, he decided to found MGRIGIO footwear LLC. The brand is scheduled to launch in fall 2010.
Our goal is to keep design first, and provide innovative product at a fair price for our market. We want our users to experience a brand that not only represents their identity. We are set on finding ways to get the consumer involved in the design process. We strive to educate our consumer on what exactly goes into making the footwear they know and love. We focus on giving the consumer a voice that is heard,and in return this helps us create footwear that people are excited about. Being receptive is what we are all about. the best way to make good product is to take in as much inspiration, and stimulation as possible. This information combined with a personal vision has always worked for the 24 yr old CEO, and its a route he plans to continue following. we aim to be a known name in the footwear industry, and its only a matter of time before it comes to fruition.
Starting with an online store to make MGRIGIO footwear available to consumers was key.
Michael looked at it as a type of experiment. wanting to see how the world would
react to MGRIGIO’s design and style. there is no set formula for success, but good
product just cant be denied.
Finding new inspiration is easy with design studios in Brooklyn New York, and Florence Italy. We feel being in two of the most fashion conscious places in the world is a key factor that keeps our vision clear. every design we produce helps to fulfill our misson statement: to bring premium designed product and innovation to the worlds feet, while remaining as versatile as the color grey.’

Just like many of my fellow New Yorkers, I use subways each day to get to the anyplace I need to go. The subway is one of the places that I find the most inspiration of all kinds. I’m never afraid to stop anyone and ask them where they got their shoes from. It’s all a part of the design process to me….
